Thompson Rooftop Bar
Set on the Thompson Hotel’s 16th-floor, the wraparound terrace hoovers up 360-degrees of Downtown, Lake Ontario and the CN Tower, twinkling with coloured lights at night. Comfy striped sofas, green foliage and a little gem of an infinity pool make this one of Toronto’s finest urban oases.
In the winter, the lounge bar with its fireplace is encased by floor-to-ceiling glass so as not to obstruct the killer view. There’s room for 102 revellers indoors, 65 outdoors, and a few extra lounging in the pool. It opens at 11am for lunch (crab cakes, salads, etc. at reasonable prices) and is one of the finest places to loll about all day waiting to order a mojito at sunset.
