The Grilled Cheese
Turns out transplanting said shack to Toronto and evolving it to produce a molten sandwich isn’t so off-piste, either. The democratic snack is eaten on-the-go or at the picnic tables, and there’s a soup of the day to go with. There are ten different types of golden-grilled sandwich ($6-$10), all served with potato chips and pickle in a paper-lined basket. The Dill-icious is a sophisticated little number with dill Havarti, basil pesto, sundried tomato and onion. A host of homemade condiments on offer give this elevated classic an extra bit of sauce, too.
