Pitching itself as a house party, clubbers come to live it up in the Brant House living room. With thick wooden beams, exposed brick, classic films playing on-screen and images of books on the walls, there’s a relaxed at-home vibe here. Set in a former factory, there’s also a whiff of cool warehouse about it, which starts attracting downtown barflys right after work.
High candlelit communal tables are used for dinner, after which diners migrate to the pop-fuelled dance floor, as the queue outside swells. A place for only the well-heeled (flip-flops and trainers will be turned away), the age group is north of 25. Mojitos and beer are the drinks of choice, unless you’ve paid for your spacious booth with bottle service. A smoking patio out back is connected to that of the younger Cobra club next door.
