On a street heavily peppered with bars, this is the hot chili – and it’s all down to the dance floor. With the business of drinking in the front and a dance party in the back, it’s the ultimate mullet venue – except this place looks good. The bar is set behind a reclaimed cage from a postal station, and with high ceilings, exposed brick walls and vintage lights, it has a nice old-world feel to it.
The antique bank counter bar gets a lot of shot action, and there are a host of European beers to choose from, too. The DJ in the neon-lit back room plays old-school hip-hop tunes to a casually-dressed crowd that doesn’t mind building up a sweat when cutting it up. There’s a pizza-and-more dinner menu, too.
