Queen And Beaver
Jamieson Kerr has amazingly brought the Toronto restaurant scene around to the merits of a pickled egg and pint of Pride, and bemused experts hailed his new restaurant and pub as one of Toronto’s top ten in 2010.
Set in a converted Victorian mansion, replete with wooden floors, brass and fancy antiques, punters also come to catch sporting events on the 60-inch flat-screen upstairs (or one of the gangsta flick movie nights).
A smattering of football memorabilia and some of Jamieson’s bravely conspicuous public school sports photos help keep the British end up. Speaking of which, the name of the pub refers to the union of British and Canadian mascots – and not what your filthy mind was thinking.
