Becs de Bosson
Leave the grease-laden fondues of the plebs behind you and head to Becs de Bosson, one of the few restaurants in Val d’Anniviers to do mountain food the right way. Found at the hotel of the same name, this spot offers a small but perfectly formed menu that caters to even the most discerning diner. Whether it be fillet of perch caught in nearby Lac Leman or garlic snails with homemade bourguignon sauce, there’s always been something that’s taken our fancy. Highly recommended is the the Anniviard onion soup with cheese and rye bread, as well as the raclette with the famous cheese of Val d’Anniviers (made from unpasteurised milk, don’t you know). Supplementing this is a value-for-money children’s menu, with large portions that won’t leave them hungry.
