Mountain Masters is one the best places to come to for an adrenaline fix, offering guides in Val d’Isere for off-piste, heli-skiing and ski-touring throughout the Espace Killy. Headed up by Alain Ledoux, those with a taste for adventure can dive off-piste down Col Pers, Face du Charvet, Chardonnay Bowl or the Vallon de la Sache – if you think you’re brave enough, that is.
And if heli-skiing is more your thing, there are two trips to choose from; the first runs between Col du Petit Saint Bernard, La Rosière and La Thuile – 40 minutes from Val d’Isère; the second is from the Pissaillas glacier, where an amazing 1,500-metre vertical drop awaits us with a return helicopter transfer over the National Park.
Off-piste skiing is taken groups of five people, and all clients are issued with ABS rucksacks, avalanche transceivers, shovels and probes for maximum safety. Indeed, you’ll certainly be in same hands with Mountain Masters.
