Le Grain de Sel

Dining out in Val d’Isere doesn’t get finer than Le Grain de Sel, the in-house restaurant at the five-star Le Savoie Hotel. The five-course evening menu offers something for everyone; fish eggs may not be everyone’s idea of a starter, but served on a bed of escalope de foie gras and peas they are an interesting entrée indeed; for mains there is lamb, venison in mushroom gratin or a whole free-range chicken for two stuffed with vegetables; a dessert less ordinary is the pan-fried mango and pineapple served with coconut sorbet. Expect to pay around €100 per person – a small price to pay for such a mouthwatering menu.
