Casa Ferlin

Zürich’s most popular Italian restaurant hasn’t felt the modernisers touch for many years and it is all the better for it. Dark wood chairs with a tapestry print line the room and the ceiling has colourful, large-scale depictions of all the raw ingredients that lie behind the culinary magic.

Family run for over 100 years, Gaspare Ferlin and his Tyrolean chef wife founded the restaurant in 1907. Following in his footsteps is Menotti Ferlin, who serves up a long menu of Italian classics, just like grandmamma made them. Favourites are the home made ravioli, famed to be the best in town, the extensive veal selection, from piccata al masala to costoletto di vitello and much more besides.

With an old school atmosphere and charming service, Casa Ferlin has a strong following amongst a well-heeled local crowd and Zürich’s financiers.
