With a slogan ‘more than sushi’ it’s no surprise that Ginger has an inventive take on Japanese cuisine, although sushi purists will not be disappointed. Reserve ahead to bag a spot around the dark-wood sushi bar in the diminutive front room and indulge in some sushi porn watching the chefs beavering away in the middle, or plump for the larger restaurant area in the back. Alongside classic sushi and sashimi plates are delicious, innovative dishes including spicy sea bass carpaccio, calamari sashimi with shiso, fennel and ponzu sauce and home-made foie gras terrine wrapped in nori and served with sea urchin.
Very popular with Seefeld’s smart locals grabbing a quick bite by day, it has a buzzing evening scene.
