Giacometti Hall
A police station might not be at the top of your cultural ‘to-do’ list, but make time to swing by this one. Formerly an orphanage, Zürich’s master architect, Gustav Gull converted it into a municipal building in 1900 and, in 1923 Augusto Giacometti was commissiond to paint the entrance’s walls and vaulted ceiling; the result a stunning explosion of fiery colour, newly restored and open to the public. ID needed for entry.
