From January-March, any sunny weekend day see the city empty
as Zürchers head for the slopes. There are a number of popular ski resorts
within an easy drive (or train ride) away: Hoch Ybrig (www.hoch-ybrig.ch), Flumserberg (www.flumserbergbahnen.ch), Arosa (www.arosa.ch) and Davos / Klosters (www.klosters.ch). All these resorts offer a
wide range of activities for those who don’t like to ski or snowboard, you can
walk along snowy tracks to atmospheric alpine restaurants, whizz down toboggan
runs, ice-skate or try your hand at cross-country skiing.
