A vibrant place to drink in Lisbon, literally translated Agito is a Brazilian word inciting action and movement. Sandwiched between a cluster of jazz bars at the top end of Rua da Rosa, this striking ba is as far from the madding crowd as a Bairro Alto drinking spot can be.
But Agito’s mood is nonetheless vibrant. Walls are daubed with lively blocks of colour and bamboo curtains hang from the doorway. A mural depicting a cartoon cow showering unsuspecting city folk with milk from its udders is difficult to miss and has become a defining icon for the bar.
Further seating can be found in the glass conservatory out back. Food is served, with many veggie-friendly options available but is nothing extraordinary. Chilled and effortlessly cool.
