Hg2 : The Hedonist

Bagatelle is one of the cafés in Bogotá which has its roots in baking – all the bread is baked fresh on-site (the chocolate bread is a weekend staple for many of the city’s gastronomes). However, these soft doughy creations had such success that Bagatelle has vastly expanded its menu, whilst continuing to uphold the quality. The pastries are perfectly light and flaky and the tiny custard tarts tempt even the strictest dieters. Meanwhile, brunch at this cosy café is always a crowded affair as twenty-year-olds flock for perfect eggs Florentine and fruit smothies. The old-fashioned French posters that hang inside allude to Bagatelle’s Parisian influence, and the chic Zona G inhabitants who nestle on the outdoor terrace know how to dress accordingly. Bagatelle is a second home to many in the city, and its warm atmosphere and delicious menu are reason enough to visit.
