Hg2 : The Hedonist

Bahia Palace

The Bahia Palace was originally constructed by the infamous vizier Ba Ahmed Ben Moussa in the early 1900s. When he died it was inhabited by the French resident-generaux and is today used for a range of purposes – King Mohamed VI famously threw a party here for US rap star P. Diddy (formerly Puff Daddy) in 2002. The palace is undeniably elegant, incorporating grand columns, stunning stucco and runs of zellije throughout the main areas, with countless bedrooms that used to house Ben Moussa’s numerous ‘other halves’ (four wives and 24 concubines, to be exact).
