Baia
Think dining out in Cape Town, overlooking a gorgeous bay and feasting on unfailingly good seafood. Frankly, Baia is about as touristy as things get in Cape Town, and its mammoth proportions and shopping centre location are unlikely to drum up support from locals (who usually blanch at the bill), or those tourists in search of venues with authenticity. Still, the quality of the seafood is faultless-wide in reach, the menu also encompasses plenty of red meat for those with no love for pescatore, though it would a be pity to come here to dine on this alone. Waiters are polished and well-spoken, acclimatized to dealing with the varied international clientele; elegant interiors are also sufficiently refined, although you’d be hard-pressed to say this place has any personality to call its own-which makes the steady stream of rich, famous, or simply gorgeous, diners an essential atmospheric ingredient.
