Bait Banamal

Comme Il Faut, the Israel design house launched in 1987 by Sybil Goldfiner and Carol Godin, was founded upon a feminist-inspired agenda of affecting social change through ethical practices, provocative products and an active social network of like-minded supporters. The company has since been selected as one of the world’s 100 most ethical companies, and cited by the United Nations for its work for women’s advancement.
In opening the Bait Banamal complex, owners Goldfiner and Godin sought to manifest their vision and manner of practice into a physical space, where women are empowered to seek fulfillment of their needs and desires, rather than fall into the stereotypical role of provider to others. In addition to a show-space for the Comme Il Faut line and an eponymous café-restaurant, the fashion house hosts several design shops, galleries, a women-only spa and a female oriented sex shop.
As stated by the complex management, the space is not your ordinary faceless shopping centre, but rather a public area curated with a message in mind, and connected to every facet of its surrounding environment.
