Bait Ba’namal
Dining options in the Tel Aviv port are quite numerous, yet they tend to fill that familiar slot of a Mediterranean-influenced brasserie/café featuring a relaxed outdoor deck seamlessly seducing exhausted shoppers into sampling from their pricey menu. The dishes are of a high quality, yet are often unimaginative, thus causing many restaurants to mesh into one unmemorable venue in the collective memory of the clientele. Bait Ba’namal, a newly opened restaurant inhabiting part of the Comme Il Faut boutique complex, attempts to break from the tiresome mode through creativity both in restaurant design and menu.
Fitting well into its role as a culinary adjunct to an ethically-minded fashion design house, Bait Ba’namal offers unique menus for all three meals in an atmosphere that is aesthetically pleasing and comfortable; the fashionista’s version of a home kitchen. The culinary theme is that of traditional Mediterranean with a personal twist, featuring menu highlights such as the Calamari Masbachah, a seafood variation upon the traditional Humus dish, and the Middle Eastern sundae: vanilla ice-cream topped with date honey, tahini, chalvah and pistachios. For a real treat, grab a deck table during breakfast and enjoy the eye-catching selection of salads, spreads, and treats brought over by the attractively easy-going waitresses.
