The bar at the Strelka Institute of Media, Architecture and Design, used to be just that, but now it is famous throughout Moscow in it’s own right.
Strelka is situated right on the river front, in the popular Red October district, just minutes from the Kremlin and yet still an escape from the tourist trail. With huge windows overlooking the river Moskva and a rooftop bar which opens in the summer, a perfect evening can be spent watching the sun set over the Cathedral of Christ the Saviour.
Located in part of the old confectionary factory, the decor inside is a mix of Scandanavian and Italian art deco, with an antique J Becker piano adding a touch of vintage.
Whether it’s choosing a glass of wine or cocktail from the extensive list, a delicious meal from the exquisite international menu or enjoying the varied music programme of live jazz piano or DJ sets on the weekends, Strelka has got something for everyone.
All profits from the bar and restaurant support the Strelka Institute
