The Bayview is one of the few boutique hotels in Beirut and has just 36 rooms and sits right at the end of Ain El Mreisseh peering out onto the Mediterranean Sea. The Bayview is close to the site of the bomb attack of February 2005, it managed to escape without much damage, and offers a more personal alternative to the majority of larger, more exclusive hotels nearby. Its particular attraction is its intimacy, which allows for almost one to one service. The rooms are plain, simple and tidy, so if you’re feeling young, independent and up for a party, this is the place for you – not least because the roof terrace converts in summer into the C-Lounge, a house-music haven which opened in 2003 to a sun-baked crowd of nightlife lovers. Close to downtown and Beirut’s historic ruins.
