You can often gauge a hotel bar by the number of non-residents who drink there and, judging by the popularity of this one, something is obviously being done right. With a list of some 16 vodkas served at room temperature or frozen, the Hyatt Regency’s Beluga Bar is deservedly the number one stop for aficionados of what the Russians named ‘little water’. Like the rest
of the Hyatt Regency, the Beluga Bar has recently seen a refit, courtesy of London-based designers WDA, and is now looking as refreshingly cool as a frozen bottle of its signature drink. As per the wine list in the next-door Grill restaurant, the cocktail list is short and carefully thought out. Their chocolate martini is vodka-based, of course, and sinfully tasty. At the other end of the taste scale, they also mix a mean Bloody Mary.
