Hg2 : The Hedonist

Plonk yourself down on a Moroccan cushion and direct your thoughts to happy contemplation: how much spicy marinade you are going to lace your lamb Habra and couscous with?

The owners of Asian favourite Green Bamboo bring you Bereber, a mouthful to pronounce at first, but a name you’ll get used to hearing in the alternative-to-beef-restaurant conversations. The first floor boasts an open-air terrace, but the ground-floor ‘Let’s lie down and eat Marrakech style’ option is advised for those looking to get fully into the King Mohammed VI role.

Stick to caiprinhas as warm-up cocktails, as the barman loves holidaying in Brazil, and he is always too busy, usually mending his till, to shake anything more complicated. Located right beside Plaza Palermo Viejo, Bereber is your Moroccan launch-pad for an evening out at Mundo Bizarro, Congo or 878, followed by Podesta or Club Niceto.
