This is one of the Sydney cafés you should definitely order an expertly-made coffee as you stroll past, unless, of course, can snag yourself one of the bright red milk crates on the pavement. Made with a house blend of artisan beans, the coffee is superb and comes with a slice of almond biscotti on the side, and no matter how many they pump out, each comes with a genuine smile. As for the food, from lasagne to gnocchi, it’s all homemade in a quintessential Italian trattoria-style, by Sicilian chef Claudio and the brothers’ Naples-born mother, Mamma Maria. Everything is chalked up on the blackboard. Don’t forget to try some dolci (Italian sweets), too.
