Bilkova 13
The sign hanging outside this converted 1905-factory in the heart of Prague’s Old Town promises the hedonist a restaurant, bar and “cognac point”. Head chef, Petr Krejci, calls upon many years of experience from his adopted home of Italy to produce a wide range of classic Italian dishes that wouldn’t look out of place in a Roman trattoria.
That said, an eclectic feel pervades – Warhol-esque portraits adorn bare-brick walls alongside stills of famous actors and musicians made famous in the States during the ‘60s and ‘70s. And it’s underscored by a matching soundtrack.
Knowledgeable mixologists are on hand at the sleek and colourful bar (perfect for a refreshing pre or post dinner cocktail), while waiting staff attentively service the multi-level restaurant behind. Choose from the restaurant, two bars, a chill out room, a cigar room and the feted cognac point – all situated over three floors against a modern-industrial backdrop.
