Hg2 : The Hedonist

Blue Light

With late opening hours, proximity to Charles Bridge (Malá Strana end) and a dark, cellar vibe (actually almost pitch black, illuminated only by lamps and candles, even though it’s at street level), the Blue Light is one of the best bars in Prague to enjoy an after hours drink.
rnCharacterised by seriously graffitied walls bearing an array of tortured posters featuring jazz legends like Ornette Coleman, and a jumbled assortment of battered leather sofas, wooden chairs and old shipping crates for tables, it’s not necessarily a place for post-work Martinis; that said, it does have a mean and reasonably priced cocktail list and the jazz-Latin-Broadway-funk soundtrack (all on CD, no live acts) lends the place a fairly sophisticated air.
