Blue Ribbon Sushi
Chef Brad Farmerie summed it up best: “Blue Ribbon is a perennial favorite, which may never go out of style. I’m sure this will show up on a lot of chefs’ lists.” Right he was. More than a dozen concur with Farmerie’s pick of Blue Ribbon Sushi as the ultimate spot to grab a bite after midnight (and then some). It’s also long been known as a favorite haunt for chefs after they’ve kicked off their clogs and are ready to relax after a long night behind the line, but it’s about more than the late hours they afford. Take a seat at the fish-tailed sushi bar or in one of the compact honey-colored wooden booths, and leave yourself in the hands of Blue Ribbon’s white-capped sushi chefs for velvety slices of fluke sashimi, the special Blue Ribbon roll (lobster, shiso, and black caviar), and a nice, chilled glass of sake from their excellent list.
