Bo-Kaap Kombuis

Situated in a multicultural area of Cape Town, Bo-Kaap Kombuis Malay Restaurant is surrounded by culture, cobblestone streets and an explosion of brightly coloured houses. In keeping with Cape Malay tradition, Bo-Kaap Kombuis invites their patrons to not only enjoy a panoramic view of Cape Town, Table Mountain and Table Bay from their mountain slope location, but to discover and enjoy an infusion of Cape Malay food and culture. The angular and open architecture, with various full length windows to maximise viewing pleasure gives the restaurant a modern feel; however, the interior decoration, although quite minimalist, has a traditional vibe with its bright colour scheme, seat coverings, and displays of traditional homeware. The menu comprises of many traditional South African dishes with an emphasis on a few traditional Malay dishes such as Denningvleis. As a Muslim restaurant, Bo-Kaap Kombuis does not serve alcohol but instead provides an extensive drinks menu with a selection of milkshakes and smoothies alongside a variety of teas and soft drinks.
