Hg2 : The Hedonist

Bourbon House

Large and bustling, Bourbon House has a full repertoire of fried and boiled seafood along with Creole specialties like alligator piquante, shrimp Creole, and Gulf fish topped with toasted pecans. The dining room, a sophisticated update on New Orleans style with lots of wood and brass fixtures, has comfy booths, but the tables looking out on Bourbon Street offer great people-watching. A member of the Brennan family, the most prominent restaurateurs in New Orleans, runs it, so you can be guaranteed mouthwatering food and impeccable service. Lunch draws workers from the nearby Central Business District. Avoid mealtimes before 8pm, which draw a family crowd. Later, many cool travellers feast here before hitting the Bourbon Street action.
