Caesars Palace

In 2005, one of the most renowned luxury hotels in Las Vegas, Caesars Palace, added the Augustus Tower to its impressive empire. Its gold and marble interior, soaring columns, vaulted ceilings, spouting fountains, and replicas of classic Greek and Roman sculptures (like Michelangelo’s David and the Winged Victory at Samothrace out front) are as impressive today as they were when it first opened in 1966. While most of the cheesier elements have been toned down in favour of more sophisticated décor – though the costumed centurions remain – Caesars lives on as a classic symbol of eye-popping extravagance. It has always catered to high-rollers, and boasts some of the nicest accommodations on the Strip. Standard rooms are spacious (starting at 550-square-feet) and elegant. Bathrooms have marble floors, deep Jacuzzi tubs, double vanities, TV speakers, and phone lines. Before hitting the casino, check out the bronze statue of Caesar at the main entrance – rubbing his finger is said to bring luck.
