In the words of Queen, “like Lady Godiva, I’m gonna go, go, go, there’s no stopping me!”
Tucked away within the world-famous shopping experience that is Harrods, Cafe Godiva is perfectly positioned for chocoholics looking to take a break from their shopaholic tendencies. If you needed an excuse to visit, it’s that it is one of the only places with space enough to rest your feet in the building, bringing a welcome change of pace from the endless hustle and bustle everywhere else. Godiva prides itself on combining unusual flavours within their exquisite chocolate in bold and modern ways, yet never does it forget the allure of the classic. In addition to the obligatory pralines and parfaits, truffles and tarts, there are some truly unique options for even the most discerning of chocolate-lovers. “Martini Choctails” and decadent “hot chocolate suckao shots” come highly recommended, not forgetting their glorious chocolate fondue – with all the trimmings of course. Every dish looks like a piece of artwork, each masterfully incorporating the famous Godiva signature, and this is perhaps the only drawback since destroying one feels like a crime. Needless to say however, we highly recommend the risk.
