A fairly long yomp down Narva mnt. from the Old Town, but worth the trip. Opened in late 2003, Café Peterson is among the most stylish and comfortable in Tallinn. Come before 11am for the breakfast du jour – a huge pot of porridge or a range of breakfast cereals and croissants, as well as freshly squeezed orange juice. Tasty flavoured pastries and other savoury snacks are available all day.
rnRelax on big cushions around the banquettes by the windows and walls, and enjoy laid-back lounge music and local modern art from the gallery next door – which adds a bit of eccentricity to the café’s cool Nordic simplicity. Café Peterson is popular with trendy students and staff from Tallinn University, only a few hundred yards away.
