Café Savoy
Another of the old cafés in Prague, located across the river from the National Theatre, Café Savoy was once the kind of turn-of-the-century coffee house popular with subversive revolutionary types. Modernized first of all in 2001, Café Savoy has recently been given an Art Nouveau makeover by its new owners, the local Ambiente chain.

rnToday the Savoy makes for a very welcoming and comfortable locale, with its nostalgic period detailing: chandeliers, restored trompe l’oeil ceiling and replica railings.

rnThe menu features all you need for a fulfilling café stop – teas, coffees and chocolates, snacks, sandwiches and soups, as well as larger options that favour heavy Czech and French cuisine. There’s also a small but considered wine list with German, French and Italian varieties.
