Caffè della Pusterla
A real cross-over café/bar, La Pusterla arbitrarily slots into Snack by default of its name. rnrnIt’s known equally for its outstanding breakfasts, piled into the piccola pasticceria (really just an ornate glass cabinet) and served with 15 types of tea and all sorts of coffee, as it is as a place to drink good Tuscan wine after dinner. It’s also famous for its wine cocktails, such as wine and sorbet floats and wine martinis. rnrnThe kitchen is always open – munchies can be mitigated at any time with their abbinamenti – sharing plates of food matched to wine, for example, cheese and strong reds, vin santo and cantucci. It’s always relaxed and always good value, there’s plenty of seating spread over two old-fashioned tavern-style floors and it calls itself a sala de lettura (reading room) on account of its range of national and international newspapers delivered daily.
