Hg2 : The Hedonist

Caffè delle Arti

Caffé delle Arti is one of the perfect cafés in Rome to help you escape from the frenetic Centro Storico and bury yourself away in the heart of the Villa Borghese. Heavenly on a hot day, this glamorous neo-classical café/restaurant adjoins the underrated, rarely busy modern art gallery. Food may be a little average and service somewhat erratic, but the location is perfect for culture vultures swigging pitchers of wine in the midday sun under canvas awnings. A tempting array of cakes and pastries makes it a good tea-time spot when the weather is less clement, and the well-stocked bookshop next door is well worth a look.
