Carpe Diem
Since it opened in June 2003, Carpe Diem has thrived as a serious hotspot for the rich and famous. Carpe Diem is dress code conscious and not for travellers on a budget (the cost of seating gives London a run for its money,) but with its sea-front views this is unlike anything you’ll find elsewhere. Before 12.30am, Carpe Diem is a really gorgeous place to wine and dine but after that it gets wild and a quiet night is unlikely due to its popularity. From the outside it looks like two giant tents on a lawn, but inside it’s a den of all things fabulous. Sundays are perfect if you want to enjoy the lavishness of Carpe Diem without the mayhem of a club night but, due to late opening hours, that’s a luxury reserved for those who don’t need to work or those who are here visiting. Rather than sofas, huge white chill-out beds line the edges of the tents and the cocktails are superb. Carpe Diem is very much about star-spotting, mixing with the beautiful people of Barcelona and spending money; if it’s what you’re looking for, this is definitely the place to visit.
