Hg2 : The Hedonist

Centennial Park

Whether you want an uninterrupted 3.8-kilometre running and cycling track, playing fields or picnic and BBQ facilities, the 189-hectare Centennial Park, one of the largest parks in Sydney, has the space. In the middle of the eastern suburbs, these sprawling gardens are an oasis of tranquillity, with tall Port Jackson figs and oak trees, lakes filled with ducks and swans, beautiful rose gardens, wetlands and swamp walks. There’s even horse riding available at the Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre. If you visit in summer, check out Moonlight Cinema, an outdoor cinema festival where you can watch films al fresco on beanbags, from December to March.
