Chairama is one of the most impressive and luxurious spas in Bogotá, indeed in the world. Architect Giancarlo Mazzanti designed the building, and the effects are mindblowing; the outer façade is made of two layers, one of glass and one of metal, the latter of which has had tiny bubbles cut out with a laser. As a result, Chairama Spa looks like a giant Jacuzzi jet from the outside, while on the inside dappled sunlight shines in from the cut-outs. Chairama’s beauty does not stop with the structure, however; everything about the spa is modern and designed to soothe those who step inside. The treatments themselves are also noteworthy; instead of sun beds, Chairama provides a sunroom, complete with vines growing up the walls, where you can bask in rays and top up your tan. There’s also a complex water treatment that involves many different showers and waterfall massages, as well as one pool with filled with water from the dead sea. The restaurant here is also superb, and is often the perfect end to a fabulous, faultless experience.
