Hg2 : The Hedonist

Chanel is practically synonymous with Paris. The haute couture house pioneered trousers for women, the first handbag, and chic costume jewelry, and its double C logo might as well be the Parisian stamp of style. Gabrielle ‘Coco’ Chanel’s first boutique, atelier showroom and apartment was at no. 31 rue Cambon, a now iconic address and the location of the Paris flagship store (the site was even recreated in one of the label’s notoriously flamboyant catwalk sets at the Grand Palais). Since Karl Largerfeld took over the brand as Creative Director in 1983, his designs have maintained the Chanel signature look. A byword for timeless elegance, the world of Chanel is also available at 51 avenue Montaigne, various boutiques in the 1er arrondissement and over 10 other locations around the city.
