Part of the Chapitô community, this charming restaurant shares a spacious esplanade with the neighbouring circus school. It also shares the same bohemian and artistic ethos. A wooden spiral staircase leads to a dining area dotted with candlelight, and wall-to-wall windows offer easily the most captivating views of Lisbon. The effect is near fairy-tale and couples come here to gaze out to the illuminated suspension bridge and into each other’s eyes.
Fortunately, displays of affection are neither explicit nor nauseating and big groups should not be put off. Indeed, early on in the evening the place is popular with young families.
The set menu is divided into five colour co-ordinated sections, although dishes can be mixed and matched. Specials change weekly and are drawn from around the world. Service is friendly and always with a smile. Why not round off the evening with a theatre show or a drink in the Net Jazz Café below? An enchanting experience in magical surroundings.”
