Just when you thought Dubai couldn’t get mad enough, the Chillout restaurant in Times Square Center is certainly one way to cool down. Taken down 50 degrees in the peak heat, the ice bar provides you with a jacket, shoes and gloves and a complementary hot chocolate. You can order hot or cold food and everything is made of ice, from the seats, tables, glasses and there’s even an ice sculpture museum consisting of Dubai’s famous landmarks.
The bar is lit with multicoloured lights beamed through dense blocks of ice, creating a spectrum of colour across the space. It’s a great experience and one which is definitely worth a visit, but don’t expect luxury fine dining.
