It’s the bar itself that strikes you – small but unusually well-stocked, light floats through the bottles, and out on to the street offering an alluring glow on an otherwise subdued corner. Inside you’ll find a warm atmosphere, welcoming staff and expertly mixed drinks.
Hotels aside, this is Lisbon’s first cocktail bar, and owners David and Julie (with expertise from around the globe) really do know what they’re doing. Their superb drinks menu includes 15 martinis and several clever champagne concoctions – everything from an appealingly bitter Basildon Sue, to a delicious Lemonberry, to the stupendously exclusive Black Amex.
Popular with locals during the week, Fridays and Saturdays draw a younger, more fashionable crowd eager to start the night on creamy, fruity buzz. Light fare also available.
