Set back a block or so from the northern end of Azadlig Avenue, and away from the noise of this rather busy thoroughfare, the City Mansion is actually a small grouping of several renovated blocks, now turned into serviced apart-rnments. Available for long or short term lets and for as little as a night, they are set around a small, tranquil garden at whose centre lies a waterfall, gently trickling into a pond full of impressively sized koi carp. Owned by thernSingapore-based Keppel group, the Asian influence is felt in more than just the fish pond, as the acceptable, if not overly exciting, restaurant also serves a predominantly Chinese menu. Apartments here are of a livable size and standard, although nothing special, and the friendly staff available 24/7. There is also a fitness centre with indoor pool and a reasonable gym.
