Clementine Café

Cafés in Tel Aviv are about as ubiquitous as the street cats that run rampant through the streets of the white cities. While some have a specialty dish, or a bit of savvy PR to generate clients, the city’s coffee-shops serve as the locals’ second living room, a venue to host friends, get through e-mails, or simply relax with a big cup of coffee. Only they don’t have to clean after themselves, and the food is generally better.

So why choose Clementine over the myriad other options? Well, for the aesthetic pleasure of it all, naturally. The managing team at Clementine, whose owners also have stake in some of the city’s most exclusive clubs, know the value of their location. Lying along tree-line Ben-Gurion Boulevard, the café straddles the Northern edge of Central Tel Aviv. Inhabiting a building set for preservation surrounded by a garden, the client steps into a quiet oasis away from the heat and noise of the city. The café will have so many clients you may think there is a holiday on, but no- sitting at a café happens to be all in a day’s work for many.

As with the best café’s in town, Clementine offers the usual favorites, salads and pastas that as light as the forth in the cappuccinos being churned out by the baristas day and night. For a touch of the ethnic, do try the Chreima, a spicy Moroccan fish dish. If sunglasses and a good book is more your thing, find a corner in the garden, order a beverage and enjoy!
