Hg2 : The Hedonist

Club Social

Club Social attracts one of the hippest crowds of all the bars in Beirut. An oblong space that used to be a furniture store, with small wood tables stapled to the floor, antique mirrors and lights bought from the Beirut thrift market, it also has constantly changing art displays. Social Club, as its regulars refer to it, is owned by the son of a prominent Baalbeck family, and aims to provide cheap drinks and fantastic music. rn

The no door policy means that the trendy crowd that populates it can come to hear some of the city’s best DJs nightly. Sundays are reserved for special events such as Beirut’s healthy underground scene, featuring rock and trip-hop bands such as Scrambled Eggs and Soap Kills. More dirty chic than glamour the Social is all about the music, attracting some of Lebanon’s finest talents both to drink and play.
