Craft Beer Co.
In 2011, something happened on Leather Lane that changed the face of beer drinking in London. The city’s first beer nerd bar opened. The Craft Beer Co. does exactly what its name suggests: beer. And a lot of it. With unequivocally the largest selection of beers on offer of any pub in London, the Craft Beer Co. at any given time stocks around 400 bottles from around the world, alongside a heavy dose (we’re talking between one and two dozen taps and casks) of international and local British brews. Despite all that hoppy hedonism, the pub is surprisingly approachable, with clean, modern wood tables and a prevalence of copper that lends it the air of an American microbrew pub.
Though strictly speaking not a brew pub (they don’t brew anything onsite), the Craft Beer Co. does have a selection of its own house beers and ales, which can be a welcome relief for traditional beer drinkers who think a pint should never go above £4. Still, if it’s something more exotic you’re hankering for, the Craft Beer Co. is definitely the place to go.
Additional locations in Brixton, Clapham, Covent Garden, Islington, and further afield in Brighton, have recently opened.
