Hg2 : The Hedonist

What do you do when you come stumbling drunkenly out of the Corner Bar (see Drink) at closing time on a Friday and are in the mood for some ear-drum perforatingly loud rock and, perhaps, hanging with some crazy, mildly aggressive dancers from, say, Sweden or the Czech Republic? Why, pop across the road to Crossroads, of course. Open until very late, serving up beer at
pub prices and with a pool table downstairs, Crossroads is extremely popular with a generally younger Azeri and international crowd of students and some of the less aged oil and hotel industry workers. Music is actually pretty variable and some dance or hip-hop may well squeeze its way in between the rock. All in all, it is, weirdly, surprisingly good fun. Door staff are not the friendliest, however, and not averse to upping the arbitrary cover charge if you appear drunk or incredulous.
