Cube Tasting Kitchen
Being very careful to distinguish itself from traditional ideas of dining out, Cube Tasting Kitchen’s claim that they are a ‘tasting kitchen, not a restaurant’ are well founded. Unlicensed (BYO!) and consisting of only a small few ‘chef’s tables’ in a sparse white space, the concept at Cube Tasting Kitchen is all about the re-invention of dining – bringing meals back to a more social occasion, with a heavy emphasis on enjoyment, conversation and wine. Menus here are presented a set options with a three-tier pricing scale, the smallest of which begins at six courses spanning 2.5-3 hours (the time taken to eat at Cube is nearly as important as the meal itself). A full tasting menu here consists of a whopping 14 courses and lasts up to 4.5 hours. We’re not sure who has time for this, but it is a lovely idea, nonetheless… Expect seasonal cuisine with an emphasis on fresh, local produce and unique combinations of flavours.
