Cukr Kava Limonada
Cafes in Prague are abundant, but finding somewhere away from the masses can prove tricky, so it’s hard to believe that such a sophisticated little spot as Cukr Káva Limonáda could exist so close to the brash tourist traps of the Royal Way. It’s a small space but immediately welcoming, with simple wooden furnishings, florally decorated ceiling and crisply linear aesthetic.
Young, friendly staff busy themselves with a diverse clientele, serving up everything from hearty designer breakfasts (scrambled eggs with Burgundy ham), ciabattas and lunches to moreish macchiatos, wine, soups and yummy cakes. The regular menu is diverse, and there are also daily specials marked in large letters on the blackboard, as well as a discerning wine list.
The owners are trying to introduce midweek film nights in the evenings, but for now it remains more of a lunchtime spot. Glass aficionados might be interested in the showroom next door.
