CVI.CHE 105
An unabashedly low(ish)-cost option, this time for fresh seafood ‘cooked’ by acidic fruit juices, Peruvian-style, surfaces among the accessible-industrial décor at CVI.CHE 105. Forgive the overly cute name, but the card here offers some of the best ceviches in Miami; most diners pick the Anconero or the Seafood Orgy swimming in leche de tigre (tiger’s milk, a concoction of lime juice, garlic, onion, chiles and fish juice (!), said to be a hangover cure and/or aphrodisiac). The entradas and ceviches may be more successful – and cheaper for it – than the larger dishes (except for maybe the grilled octopus), so dial up some pisco sours, order a bunch of smaller plates, and share freely. The industrial style decor at CVI.CHE 105 gives it that Zeitgesity new Miami feel. There is now a second location at (1245 Lincoln Road, Tel: +1 786 534 8651).
