A Hollywood institution since 1964, this unassuming joint is nestled among the stars within glitzy West Hollywood. The cosy and inviting ambiance make Dan Tana’s favourite haunt amongst locals, whilst the homey Italian dining room has the feel of a classic Arthur Avenue Italian eatery about it – with its feet firmly rooted in the old school. It’s all about the atmosphere here with a healthy mix of crowded candlelit covers, friendly service and great Italian comfort cuisine. The hearty Italian pastas, pizzas and seafood dishes are all traditional in character and deliciously rich. You pay for the intimate atmosphere, but if you’ve got a big-budget appetite, the prime steaks really are enormous. And unlike some of the stiffer digs up the street, Dan Tana’s keeps the diners entertained right up until the wee small hours.
